Terms of Service

Effective date: 6 September 2026 · replaces the version of 24 July 2026

Welcome to Praiseach. These terms are the agreement between you and Ben Francis, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, for your use of the Praiseach app. Please read them — by using the app you agree to them. I've kept the language plain.

Praiseach is free. There is no paid tier, no subscription, no in-app purchase and no advertising. You are never asked for payment details, nothing in the app costs money, and because nothing is ever charged there is nothing to refund.

What Praiseach is

Praiseach is a daily task planner that schedules your tasks around your energy and your preferences. It runs in your web browser, and your tasks and plans are stored on your own device. If you create an account, a copy is also stored on our servers so your plan reaches your other devices. It can optionally use AI to turn a plain-English description of your day into a set of tasks.

Accounts

You can use Praiseach with a profile stored only on your device, or with an account you sign into using a one-time link sent to your email address. There is no password. Keep access to your email account secure, because anyone who can read your email can request a sign-in link.

You must be 13 or over to create an account.

You can delete your account at any time from Account › Delete account inside the app. That removes your tasks, plans, projects and settings from your device and from our servers, and it cannot be undone — there is a Download my data button beside it if you want a copy first. I may also suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms, and I'll tell you why where I reasonably can.

The AI feature and its daily limit

The AI feature is provided at no cost, using Praiseach's own Anthropic API key. You do not need an API key and you are never billed for it. Because it costs money to run, there is a fair-use limit of 10 AI parses per day per account. Past that limit, the text you type still becomes a task — just without the automatic breakdown. The limit may change if running costs do.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Praiseach lawfully and reasonably. In particular, you agree not to:

AI suggestions are suggestions, not guarantees

Schedules, task durations, difficulty estimates and other output generated by Praiseach (including AI-generated content) are suggestions to help you plan — not professional advice and not guarantees. AI can be wrong. Always use your own judgement, and don't rely on the app for anything safety-critical, medical, legal or financial.

Your data

Your tasks and settings live on your device, and in your account if you have one. Please keep your own backups — clearing your browser data or losing your device can remove information stored only there. The Download my data (JSON) button in Account exports everything at any time. How your data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

No warranty

Praiseach is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. I don't promise that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or that it will meet your particular needs. There is no uptime guarantee.

Limitation of liability

Praiseach is provided free of charge. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I won't be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits or opportunities, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Praiseach.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be signed away. If you are a consumer, nothing here affects your statutory rights.

Changes to the service and these terms

Praiseach is offered at my discretion. I may change, suspend, or discontinue the app (or any feature) at any time, and I may update these terms. If I update them, the effective date at the top of this page changes. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms; if you don't want to, you can stop using it and delete your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you live, and you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections that apply there.
